Millburn & Short Hills Schools
Millburn Township has an excellent school system, ranked among the top 3 school districts in the state by New Jersey Magazine. In addition, Township schools also receive a national ranking as having one of the most academically challenging high schools in the country, offering many advance placement courses to students who excel in those classes.
A recent report was just released ranking the best elementary school teachers in New Jersey. Millburn elementary schools are in the top 10 schools statewide.
Millburn Middle School is the only middle school in the district. It has an overall A+ Niche rating. According to state standards, 92% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.
Millburn High School is ranked 24th within New Jersey. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Millburn High School is 60 percent. The student body makeup is 52 percent male and 48 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 26 percent. Millburn High School is the only high school in the district.
